Matt Callaghan Golf Academy is overseen by Director of Instruction, Matt Callaghan, a PGA Class "A" teaching professional, with over 20 years of experience. Prior to locating the Academy at Twisted Dune Golf Course, Matt was Director of Instruction at Harbor Pines Golf Course, where he founded the Academy and managed the practice facilities. Matt was also a teaching professional at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, and Assistant Golf Professional at Linwood Country Club. Matt and his staff are dedicated to making the game of golf enjoyable for players of every level and ability. The values and disciplines of the game can be best seen through his unwavering dedication and continuous work with national and local golf programs and non-profit organizations. John Borrell

John Borrell a former South Jersey native,is a PGA Professional with over thirty years experience and a strong teaching background. Former Lead Instructor for the PGA of America Golf Schools at the PGA Learning Center in Port Saint Lucie Florida, John also had his own Golf Academy in the Dominican Republic. For the past ten years John has been living in and traveling to South America and the Caribbean promoting the game of golf. John has spent most of his career in South Florida having started out as an Assistant at Inverrary Country Club. He is an accomplished player having won twelve club professional tournaments in his career.

Scott Dunn

Scott has been the General Manger and Head Golf Professional at Twisted Dunes Golf Course since 2003. He previously worked at Harbor Pines Golf Club as the Head Golf Professional. Prior to Harbor Pines, Scott was the Head Golf Professional and Golf Instructor at West Chester Golf and Country Club and an Associate Golf Professional for both Concord Country Club in Concordville, Pennsylvania and Tamarack Country Club in Geenwich, Connecticut.

Buddie Kurman

Buddie, an Academy Instructor, has worked as PGA Professional at Dick's Sporting Goods, Linwood Country Club and Blue Heron Pines as an Assistant Golf Professional. Buddie graduated Mississippi State Universities PGM program in 1996. He has been a PGA member since October of 1998.

Jim Endres

A 20 yr. veteran of the golf business, Jim has been an assistant professional at local golf clubs Blue Heron Pines and Galloway National. Splitting his time between his native New Jersey and Florida, Jim was a professional at Innisbrook Golf Resort near Tampa and Quail West in Naples Florida. For 5 years Jim was the Director of Programming for The First Tee of Greater Atlantic City and became a recognized First Tee Coach. Jim lends his golf abilities to the ARC of Atlantic County by teaching a weekly golf clinic and partnering with an athlete in the New Jersey Special Olympics.

Chris Atkins

Chris is currently a PGA Apprentice working towards achieving his Class A PGA status. Prior to becoming an instructor for our Academy and the First Assistant Golf Professional here at Twisted Dune Golf Club he resided in San Diego CA. In 2007 Chris became the First Assistant Golf Professional at Lake San Marcos Resort & Country Club and then at Escondido Country Club in 2010. Throughout his time at both clubs he was a full time Instructor for the Mind Power Golf School.
